Which platform should you use? Web.com? Wix? Weebly? All of these are platforms from which you can build, but they all have limitations and they kind of own you..after you get started. We won’t go into html5 or other coding programs, because if you know that, you’re beyond this post. We prefer WordPress. It’s a free platform, and for the most part user friendly. You can find all sorts of cool and fun things to add to your site. Some are free and others will cost. Or you can buy a pre-made theme to install and it comes with predetermined widgets and layout. Make sure you like the way it looks and functions because in most cases, you won’t be able to change it. That knowledge alone will save you major headaches going forward.

Now you probably know that we prefer to use wordpress. Before you jump in, do yourself a favor and google “wordpress” and scope out some websites and ideas. It will look complicated and it is. That is why we do what we do. So you won’t or don’t have to. I’m not going to get into any specifics on building a website. From here, if you still want the challenge…go for it. Or we can build it for you and start you off with writing and posting blogs to your website. Slowly get you comfortable with logging in to the back-end and messing around a bit. We can limit your messing around so you won’t be able to break anything major…so no worries.
